Chris Akin and Rechung Fujihira will talk social entrepreneurship at Envision Hawaii’s first First Tuesday event of the year on Jan. 8 at The Manifest, from 8 to 9 a.m. The speakers, both Envision board members, will focus on two questions: What is social entrepreneurship? And who in Hawaii is following this business model?
Fujihira is the founder of The Box Jelly in Kakaako, Hawaii’s first coworking space for entrepreneurs and developers. Akin runs The Base Project, a social enterprise that helps artisans in the developing world reach global markets.
Envision Hawaii’s First Tuesday is a free monthly event.
