SCORE Hawaii, a resource partner of the U.S. Small Business Administration, is hosting a workshop called “Jump-Start Your Small Business Social Media Marketing” on Sept. 22. The seminar will review the four most popular social media platforms today: Facebook, Twitter, Yelp and foursquare.
The event will feature three of Hawaii’s leading social media experts – Toby Tamaye (@atmarketing), president of AT Marketing, Gene Park (@genepark), online media manager for The Honolulu Star-Advertiser (@staradvertiser), and Melissa Chang (@melissa808), avid blogger at Nonstop Honolulu and HB’s sister publication Honolulu Magazine – who will provide tips on how to get started in social media, how to use social media to drive your business’s growth, and how to start or improve your company’s Facebook page. Participants are encouraged to bring their laptop or iPad so they can follow along. Free wifi will be available.
The event will be held at the Honolulu Country Club. Cost to attend is $45 and includes lunch.
